Pre-Sales
What is the deal with the $30/month that the NWMLS charges for IDX access?
Prior to October of 2009, the NWMLS allowed a maximum of three Form 110 Download Agreements per office, each at no charge, and for large offices with a diverse team that often presented a challenge for all of the brokers (then called agents) to subscribe to the IDX services that they wanted. Due to membership demand, the NWMLS changed the rules and opened up the system so that a brokerage could have a virtually unlimited number of Form 110 Download Agreements in effect at any given time, but then instituted a $30.00 per month (plus tax) charge per active agreement. This change in policy causes the IDX provider to be billed this fee every month and it's up to the IDX provider to then pass on this added expense to their clients.
The good news is that as long as there is a Form 110 in effect between an IDX provider and an office, all brokers of the named brokerage may subscribe to that providers service and there is only the one $30.00/mo fee per month. How IDXNW deals with this fee is that the first client of the brokerage to subscribe will be responsible for settling the fee each month. Should that client cease service then it will fall to the next client in order of senority and so on. In many cases the brokerage will reimburse the broker for this fee, however that is something that the broker needs to take up with thier designated broker or owner and IDXNW is not part of that process in any way.

Yes. The current sales tax rate is 9.5% and is charged on all invoices for products and services.

What hosting platform do you offer?
Our hosting network is driven by the Microsoft Windows Server 2008 R2 platform which allows us to offer you the ASP, ASP.NET and PHP5 scripting languages.
IDXNW is my web hosting provider. How do I upload and manage my website?
Our servers fully support a number of web page authoring programs and a number of stand-alone FTP programs. The web authoring programs we have tested to be fully compatible with our FTP server are Microsoft Frontpage, Microsoft Expression Web, Microsoft Office 2003 and 2007, Adobe Dreamweaver and Adobe Flash MX.
If you wish to manage your website through a third-party FTP program, we have tested the free and open-source FileZilla program and recommend it highly.
Our FTP server is also fully compatible with Microsoft Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7's built-in FTP functions and you can access your website using Windows Explorer by entering the following login method into the navigation line:
ftp://username:password@domainname.com
Using this method you can even use the Windows function "Map Network Drive" and assign a drive letter to your website's directory just as if it was a hard drive or DVD drive.

Can I access my email through a web browser?
Absolutely. Simply enter http://mail.yourdomainname.com (replace yourdomainname.com with your actual domain name) into your web browser and enter the email address of an email account for a domain hosted on our servers and the account password where indicated. You'll then be to access your email, contact lists, etc., all from a familiar user interface that is similar to Hotmail.
What are the settings I should use to access my email using Outlook 2007?
The settings for accessing your email through Outlook 2007, using either POP3 or IMAP protocols for retreival, are as follows (remembering to replace yourdomainname.com with your actual domain name):

I'm getting reports that some email senders are getting back messages sent to me marked as spam/rejected. What can I do?
IDXNW takes a very dim view on spam and uses aggressive methods to ensure most spam messages are blocked from entering our network and that our clients are not sending spam out from our servers. If you are expecting to receive a message from an ISP, IP address or e-mail account that has been identified by our servers as a high probability source of spam, we recommend you use or create a free e-mail account with a service like Hotmail, Yahoo or GMail and have the sending party forward the message to that account instead. We will not relax our anti-spam or anti-virus protection for any reason in order to maintain the integrity of our network for all clients and we apologize for any invconvenience this strict policy might cause you.
